In-house Leagues

In all leagues, there is a continuous batting order of all players present. All levels have complete uniforms and safety equipment. Play dates are April through June except for Colt & Palomino Leagues in Baseball and High School and 19 & Over leagues in Softball where play is June through the end of July. Practice locations vary at local public schools and Park District fields.

Schedules are kept updated throughout the season by League VPs.

If you are entering high school, you are eligible to play if you do NOT play for a Committee’s discretion high school baseball team.

REGISTRATION & ELGIBILITY
There is no cost for tryouts. All children who are currently enrolled in the Park District’s In-House Pinto League Program, are in 2nd grade and meet the age requirement, love the game of baseball, and live within the Park District boundaries are welcome to tryout.

Volunteers must complete the following:

Visit the CDC website for the free online course: HEADS UP Online Training Upon completion of the course and quiz, a certificate will be issued. Certificates should be printed and emailed to dmitchell@wheatonparks.org.

Volunteer Application & Background Check Waiver (PDF)
In accordance with the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act [325 ILCS 5/4], volunteers are required to report or cause a report to be made to the Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline at 1-800-25-ABUSE (1-800-252-2873) whenever there is reasonable cause to believe that a child known to that volunteer in their professional or official capacity may be abused or neglected.
