BOYS FEEDER
About
Wheaton Park District travel basketball is a boys youth feeder program for Wheaton North Falcons and Wheaton Warrenville South Tigers High Schools. This program emphasizes a higher level of competitiveness. This is for grades 3rd-8th which will participate in leagues, tournaments, and shootouts during the Winter season. The goal of this program is to develop participants’ skills and fundamentals as well as promote safety, fun, and sportsmanship. This program does not conflict with Middle School basketball teams. Please contact Cody Nelson at [email protected] if you have any questions.
All Wheaton Park District teams will be entered into the DYTBL (DuPage Youth Travel Basketball League) which will guarantee them 14-20 league games depending on the size of their division. Teams will also be entered into tournaments, shootouts, and playoffs throughout the season to get each team a minimum of 25 total games. Playoffs will be in late February or early March when every team will participates in. All games will usually be on Saturday or Sunday with the occasional game during the week. Each team will receive two practices during the week which will begin in October.
Wheaton Vipers (Grades: 3-6)
This program is offered to players in 3rd-6th grade who are interested in playing basketball at a competitive level. Teams are split up into A, B, and C teams depending on the number of kids who participated in tryouts. Teams are then entered into either gold, silver, or bronze divisions in the DYTBL. Equal playing time is not guaranteed. During the season, it is very important that attendance at Vipers basketball practices/games is prioritized. Volunteer head and assistant coaches are needed, please mark down information when registering for tryouts.
Wheaton North and Wheaton Warrenville South Feeder (Grades: 7th-8th)
