Rams Tackle Football

The Rams football program participates in the Bill George Youth Football League (BGYFL). The fee includes 6 off-season nights (schedule TBD), a game jersey, practice jersey, game pants, belt, socks, and mouthpiece. The program will fit and loan each player a helmet and shoulder pads for the season. Players will need to purchase their own cleats, rib guards, practice pants, and pant pads. The program runs July through November, with practices during the week. Home games are played at Graf Park on Saturdays and Sundays. Each coach develops a practice schedule and will update their team individually. Players are expected to attend all practices unless approved by the coach.

Rams Flag Football

The Rams Flag Football program is a self-supporting program of the Wheaton Park District. Games are played on Saturdays at Graf Park. Teams are expected to practice one or two times a week during the season from early August to mid-October. A mouthguard and game jersey are provided.

Teams are formed by school taking into consideration friend and coach request for the Grade 1&2 Flag Football League. In the Grade 3 & 4 Flag Football League and Grade 5-6 7v7 Football League, teams are formed by a draft after evaluations. 7v7 football is a variation of flag football where there are no lineman, and the game is focused on the passing aspect of football both offensively
and defensively.

Evaluation nights are Thursday, July 25 and Monday, July 29. All players in draft leagues are expected to attend one evaluation night. If an evaluation night cannot be attended, the player will be randomly assigned to a team. When registering please indicate which evaluation night your child plans to attend.

New Flag Football, 7v7 Football players or returning players who need a new helmet (larger size or misplaced), please register for the “Helmet Needed”class codes below (codes ending in 02). Returning players who have their helmet from last year and do not need a new helmet please register for the “Returning – Helmet Not Needed” Registration Codes (codes ending in 01).
Fees will increase by $10.00 on June 6, 2024.
