Our soccer program is a recreational/instructional league that provides each player, regardless of ability, with a positive sports experience. We stress safety, fun, sportsmanship and skill development. Due to the varying degree of skill level posing a safety and competitive imbalance concern, currently rostered travel soccer players may not register for the in-house soccer program.

In-House Winter Soccer 2027
February 20 – March 20 | Games on Saturdays | Time & Location: Varies
Grades PreK-8 | R/NR Fee:* $65(R)/$81(NR)
This is a wonderful corec opportunity for players to keep their skills fresh during the winter months. Games are held on Saturdays in a one hour time slot. Practice is held as a warmup and games will fill the rest of the hour (practice time will decrease as the season progresses). Grades may be combined and playing altered if registration is not sufficient to allow for play in one grade. All players must wear gym shoes, shin guards, and Wheaton Park District universal soccer shirts. Volunteer coaches are needed. Wheaton Park District cannot guarantee honoring all requests.

Soccer Shots: The Children’s Soccer Experience
June 15 – August 15 or September 14 – December 17 | Location: Brighton Park & Ray Morrill Community Center

Soccer Shots is an engaging children’s soccer program with a focus on character development. Our caring team positively impacts children’s lives on and off the field through best-in-class coaching, curriculum and communication. Our coaches are the best-trained in the business. Our expert-approved curriculum is age-appropriate and aligns with childhood education standards. In addition we provide an exceptional customer experience and ongoing communication with parents.
No class 11/23, 11/26, 11/28.
Mini Level (Age 2): Soccer Shots Mini is a high-energy program introducing children to fundamental soccer principles, such as using your feet, dribbling and the basic rules of the game. Through fun games, songs and positive reinforcement, children will begin to experience the joy of playing soccer and being active.
Classic Level (Age 3-5): Soccer Shots Classic utilizes creative and imaginative games to focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting. We also highlight a positive character trait each session such as respect, teamwork and appreciation.
Premier Level (Age 5-8): Soccer Shots Premier focuses on individual skill, fitness, and sportsmanship, providing an opportunity for children to be challenged through fun games and team interaction. Children will also be introduced to competition in a developmentally appropriate manner.
Wheaton Legacy
August 8 – October 30 | Mondays and Fridays, 4:45-6P | Location: Briar Knoll Park
Age 8-18 | R/NR Fee: $390(R)/$488(NR)
Led by the Wheaton Legacy coaching staff, made up of current and former collegiate and professional players, these sessions focus on maximizing touches on the ball, improving technical ability, and building confidence in game-like situations. Each session is built around a combination of ball mastery, technical training, and small-sided competition, allowing players to immediately apply what they learn in a fun, competitive environment. Players will be grouped by age and ability to ensure the best possible training experience. Whether your player is looking to stay active, sharpen their skills, or gain extra reps we provide a focused and engaging opportunity to develop.
Age 8–10: Legacy Foundations Focus on fundamentals, ball mastery, coordination, and building confidence on the ball.
Age 11–14: Legacy Development Technical refinement, movement off the ball, decision-making, and applying skills in game-like situations.
Age 15–18: Legacy Performance Position-specific development, speed of play, tactical awareness, and competitive training environments.
