Spring/Summer Adult Softball Leagues

The Wheaton Park District offers several Adult Softball Leagues that begin in early May.  Further information concerning registration may be obtained by calling the Community Center at 630.690.4880.  Teams from last year are given first priority for registration.

Men’s 12” Recreational League (Sundays)

  • Men, Ages 18 & over
    Starting Date: Beginning of May
    Ending Date: Beginning of July
    Location: Atten Park (Field #16 and 20)
    Game Times: 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, 4 pm, 5 pm
    Game Day: Sunday
    Number of Games: 10 games plus a single elimination tournament
    League Make-Up: Men age 18 & over
    Number of Teams: Minimum 6/Maximum 14
    Estimated Fee: $615/team* plus $20 nonresident fee/person
    Provided: Game Ball, Official
    Rosters: Minimum of 14/Maximum of 20*Price Subject to change without notice.

Corec Over 30 14” Recreational League (Sundays)

  • Men and Women, Ages 30 & over
    Starting Date: Beginning of May
    Ending Date: Middle of July
    Location: Atten Park (Field # 20)
    Game Times: 5 pm, 6 pm, 7 pm, 8 pm
    Game Day: Sunday
    Number of Games: 10 games plus a single elimination tournament
    League Make-Up: Co-rec Age 30 & over
    Number of Teams: Minimum 4/Maximum 8
    Estimated Fee: $625/team* plus $20 nonresident fee/person

Corec Volleyball – NEW Format!

Play for fun in the recreational level-for those who are just starting out or returning. Competitive is for those who enjoy competition and a faster paced game.

Coaching Youth Sports

Coaching Youth Sports is recognized by American Sport Education Program (A.S.E.P.) and teaches youth soccer, baseball, softball, football, volleyball and basketball. Coaches gain useful information about sport science, first aid and team management. If you would like to coach in our sports programs, the park district strongly urges you to take advantage of this program. The Wheaton Park District requires Coaching Youth Sports Certification for all coaches.

Table Tennis

Learn from a pro! Table Tennis lessons are offered, or stop by open play at the Community Center. Dates and times for lessons and open play vary by season. Please bring your own paddle. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Tennis

Private lessons are available for individuals and groups of two or more. Classes are taught by a certified tennis instructor of the participant’s choice.

Women’s Recreational Soccer

Bring your shin guards and your sense of humor for a great cardiovascular workout! No prior soccer experience necessary. Teams are formed weekly during play.
